As U.S. commercial gaming revenue continues to outpace U.S. GDP growth, the Global Gaming Expo (G2E), presented by the American Gaming Association (AGA) and produced by RX, celebrated its 25th edition at The Venetian Expo in Las Vegas from October 7-9, drawing approximately 25,000 gaming industry professionals and nearly 400 exhibitors.

Despite challenges like longer visa wait times and decreased international arrivals from some key markets, G2E hosted visitors from more than 120 countries, regions and territories, compared with 128 last year. Driven by demand for sports and i-gaming wagering, G2E continues to be a central meeting point for the global gaming industry.

G2E 2024 ranked No. 61 on the TSNN Top 250 List of Trade Shows, when the trade show drew 24,906 attendees and 329 exhibitors covering 263,972 net square feet at The Venetian Expo.

As part of a tour hosted by Women in Exhibitions Network North America and RX, we visited the trade show on Wed., Oct. 8, and attended a keynote on the main stage with mental health advocate (and former Peloton instructor with more than 1 million followers on Instagram) Kendall Toole, who joined Global Gaming Women’s Sip & Social Chair Meghan Speranzo, for a candid conversation on well-being, preserving boundaries and helpful tips on prioritizing mental health both in and out of the workplace.

Context: AGA, a trade group representing the $329 billion U.S. casino industry and supporting 1.8 million jobs, includes a diverse membership of commercial and tribal casino operators, sports betting and iGaming companies, gaming suppliers, and more. RX, an independent show producer that’s publicly traded, organizes more than 400 events in 22 countries across 43 industry sectors. AGA and RX have partnered on the trade show since 2001.

What we learned: For the first time in 2025, all attendees paid a registration fee to visit the show. No free expo hall passes in 2025, with prices starting at $75. The show’s exhibitors load in about 4 million pounds of freight (slot machines are heavy). RX offers a per pound model for freight.

Who attended: Commercial, tribal, online casion and sportsbook operators make up 50% of attendees, while 25% are suppliers, vendors and game developers and 25% are investors, marketing, regulators and media, according to the G2E web site.

Learning and sessions: G2E offered more than 100 education sessions covering themes like payments, investments, regulation, responsible gaming and more.

Who exhibited: The show floor featured nearly 400 exhibitors showcasing the latest global gaming technologies, including companies like Aristocrat TechnologiesIGT, and Light & Wonder. Notable: All big exhibitors were located in the back of the hall.

Who else was on stage: Tuesday’s keynote opened with AGA President and CEO Bill Miller, followed by three one-on-one conversations moderated by Hope King, founder of Macro Talk and events host and moderator for Axios, featuring MGM Resorts International President and CEO Bill Hornbuckle, Flutter Entertainment CEO Peter Jackson, and DraftKings CEO Jason Robins.

What they’re saying: “G2E has firmly established itself as the central meeting point for the global gaming industry, bringing together operators, suppliers, regulators and the broader industry in the heart of the gaming capital,” said AGA’s Miller. “This year’s show reflected the strength, diversity, and innovation that define our industry—and the collaboration that will continue to propel it forward.”

What was new: This year marked the U.S. debut of the G2E Dealer Championship, where 34 dealers from around the country competed for the title of “Best Dealer in America.” Elleonor Hoffman from Graton Resort was crowned champion and earned a cash prize. All participants of the championship also received a two-night stay at The Palms Casino Resort.
