The 2025 edition of EXPO PACK Guadalajara 2025, the biennial packaging and processing exhibition for Latin America, recently pulled off its largest event to date. Held June 10-12, 2025, at Expo Guadalajara in Jalisco, Mexico, the event welcomed 16,600 attendees from 41 countries and more than 750 exhibiting companies spanning 204,000 square feet of sold-out exhibition space across an expanded footprint of two expo halls.
In 2023, the event attracted more than 15,560 attendees and 700 exhibitors spanning 165,484 square feet, according to officials from PMMI, The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies, which owns and organizes the show alongside five other PACK EXPO events in the U.S. and Mexico.

Jim Pittas, PMMI
“EXPO PACK Guadalajara 2025 not only broke records, [but it also] reinforced the region’s leadership in packaging and processing innovation,” said Jim Pittas, president and CEO of PMMI. “This year’s success proves that Latin America is not just keeping pace with global trends, it’s helping shape them. The energy, engagement, and high-caliber attendees made it clear that this is the place where real progress happens.”
A PACK(ed) Expo
Jam-packed with the latest packaging and processing technologies and solutions ranging from smart packaging and automation to sustainable materials, the bustling trade show floor showcased hundreds of suppliers displaying myriad innovations in solutions, products, and services. Live equipment demonstrations allowed attendees to experience machinery in action and discover operational efficiencies in real time.
Featuring more machinery than ever, the expo also hosted two new pavilions, including the Containers & Materials Pavilion, which presented the latest packaging materials solutions, including flexible packaging, specialty display options, and sustainable materials such as resins and corrugated paperboard.

Created as a hub for exploring advanced technologies such as AI, virtual reality, cloud services, and connected workforce solutions tailored to consumer-packaged goods companies, the Digital Transformation Pavilion demonstrated how capturing and analyzing data can maximize efficiency, boost productivity, and overcome workforce shortages.
“EXPO PACK is extremely important for the industry,” said Salvador Nondo, project maintenance lead at Bacardi who attended the event. “It’s the only national-level event where you can see different processes and equipment for the industry firsthand.”
With environmental awareness continuing to rise in Latin America, sustainability was also a major focus at the event, with the EXPO PACK Verde program reinforcing the industry’s growing commitment to environmental responsibility and spotlighting sustainable packaging practices and products such as biodegradable, recyclable, and low-impact packaging innovations.
“[There were] definitely more stands and two new pavilions, which was the most noticeable change,” said Arturo Villaseñor, project coordinator at Tequila Patrón, who attended the event. “We came with specific goals but also took the opportunity to explore new developments. EXPO PACK Guadalajara is a highly productive event both for us as clients looking for technology and for suppliers seeking to promote their brands.”

EXPO PACK exhibitors were equally enthusiastic about this year’s event, citing the show as one of their most important and valuable.
“I’ve been participating in EXPO PACK Guadalajara since 2019, and I think this year’s edition is incredible,” said Diana Espinosa, head of office at Yamato México. “We had three days of excellent prospects, high-quality leads, and a large turnout. This is our favorite show—we never miss a year. We always see a rise in sales as a result of this direct interaction with clients.”
Exhibitor Rubén Magallanes Barrera, general director at Coesia México, which has been participating in EXPO PACK for more than 10 years, said the opportunities to interact with customers in one central location are also invaluable.
“I really like the Guadalajara venue because the visitors we receive here are 100% focused on the event,” Barrera said. “EXPO PACK is one of the most important forums not only for Mexico but also for Central America. It’s a vital space for all of us, as it gives end users the opportunity to compare technologies, innovation, materials, and more—all in one place. That drives us as manufacturers to keep improving every day.”
A Plethora of Learning and Networking Opportunities
The show also offered a targeted lineup of education sessions and networking events, with three morning keynote sessions drawing large crowds to hear the leading voices in research, design, and corporate innovation sharing their perspectives.
Nearly 150 attendees participated in the keynote organized by the Packaging & Processing Women’s Leadership Network Latin America (PPWLN), featuring a panel discussion with industry leaders Charlotte Oudin, general director, Barilla México; Adriana Rueda, RD packaging regional senior manager, L’Oréal; and Silvia Valasquez, quality administrator at PiSA Farmaceutica.
Attendees also had access to 14 complementary, 30-minute sessions on the Innovation Stage, where exhibiting companies shared success stories and technology innovations about automation, circularity, Industry 4.0, sustainable materials, and infrastructure and plant optimization, offering valuable takeaways to improve operational performance and drive innovation.

AMEE (Mexican Packaging Association) presentations explored current packaging trends in Mexico, followed by a well-attended evening event.
Other networking events included the Young Professionals Networking Breakfast, hosted by PMMI’s Young Professionals Network America Latina, where 90 emerging leaders had the opportunity to network, hear success stories, and receive leadership advice from an executive panel.
Vision 2030 brought together a diverse group of packaging and processing operations professionals from consumer-packaged goods (CPG) companies, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), and sales agents who shared and discussed ideas and solutions for packaging and processing operations in Mexico––a collaborative session that attracted nearly 150 participants.
A Strong International Presence
EXPO PACK Guadalajara also featured seven international pavilions representing Argentina, China, France, Italy, Spain, Taiwan, and Turkey, along with the PMMI Pavilion housing 165 PMMI Member companies. Representatives from the 41 countries in attendance reflected strong participation from within and outside Latin America, with the highest number of visitors from Mexico, followed by the U.S., Guatemala, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Colombia, Canada, Spain, Italy, Honduras, and Panama.
In addition to AMEE, more than a dozen Latin-America-based associations supported the event through educational sessions, forums, and gatherings.

Celia Navarrete, EXPO PACK
“EXPO PACK Guadalajara continues its strong growth trajectory with the 2025 show setting records for attendance, exhibitors, and exhibit space,” said EXPO PACK Director Celia Navarrete. “We are proud to welcome attendees from Mexico and throughout Latin America to an event that identifies the latest trends and provides opportunities to see equipment, forge valuable partnerships, and achieve a more sustainable future.”
