The International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) is bringing Expo! Expo! IAEE’s Annual Meeting & Exhibition to Houston, and it promises to be one epic event. Let’s take a deep dive into how Expo! Expo! 2025 is set to transform how attendees experience professional development, networking and industry innovation from Dec. 8-10.
Why Houston Makes Perfect Sense
Houston provides an ideal backdrop for this year’s meeting, offering everything event professionals could want in a host city. The George R. Brown Convention Center anchors a walkable convention district packed with hotel accommodations, while the city’s diverse dining scene and vibrant entertainment options ensure attendees can make the most of their time outside the sessions. Houston’s robust transportation infrastructure and mix of affordability with world-class amenities create an accessible, yet premium, experience for all participants.

Revolutionary Exhibition Floor Experience
One of the most exciting innovations this year is the integration of education directly onto the exhibition floor. Five immersive Learning Zones will host more than 50 content sessions across carefully curated educational tracks, creating a dynamic environment where learning and networking happen simultaneously. This approach extends exhibit hours significantly, giving the approximately 250 exhibitors extended face-to-face time with show organizers––strengthening partnerships and demonstrating epic value of their investment.
The educational programming covers five essential content tracks designed to address the industry’s most pressing needs:
Monetize & Maximize: Sales and Sponsorship Mastery
Forward Thinking: Innovations and Insights Shaping the Future
The Power of AI’s Impact on Event Evolution
Captivate, Engage, Elevate: The Ultimate Marketing Playbook
Event Excellence: Elevating Design, Operations and Engagement
The innovative space utilization continues with the General Session located adjacent to the show floor in the exhibit hall. When the session concludes, airwalls will open directly onto the exhibition floor, creating seamless flow between education and exhibition. The same space will be transformed for breakout sessions throughout the event.
Networking That Matters
Expo! Expo! 2025 offers multiple opportunities for meaningful connections throughout the three-day event. The festivities kick off Monday evening with IAEE Chapter Receptions at the Marriott Marquis, followed by the Opening Reception and IAEE/TSNN Awards Celebration at Avenida Plaza in front of the convention center. Tuesday brings extended exhibition floor hours perfect for organic conversations, while multiple community parties that evening cater to various industry segments. The event concludes with the Expo! Expo! 2026 Milwaukee Party on Wednesday evening.
Special Highlights and Sustainability Focus
Tuesday morning’s General Session will feature a soon-to-be-announced keynote speaker alongside the 2025 CEM Presentation, which includes a special celebration of the CEM Learning Program’s 50th Anniversary. IAEE President and CEO Marsha Flanagan, M.Ed., CEM and 2025 IAEE Chairperson Chuck Grouzard will provide a year in review, while incoming Chair Brian Pagel will be welcomed to his new role.
A standout addition this year is the IAEE Sustainability Sanctuary, a multi-zone pavilion designed to foster meaningful dialogue and drive tangible action in sustainability. This isn’t just talk; it’s where industry leaders, solution providers and advocates will collaborate on real-world challenges to manifest innovative solutions that will shape the industry’s future––come be a part of it!
Maximizing Your Investment
Attendees can earn up to 7.25 clock hours by participating in the General Session and learning sessions, with additional continuing education credits available for specialty sessions. However, CE credits can only be earned through the Full Access Package, and attendees must be present for at least 30 minutes of each session to receive credit. Those currently enrolled in the CEM Learning Program can take advantage of a full day of CEM courses offered on Monday, December 8––an unbeatable opportunity to finish off the year with epic productivity and achievement!
